I see that the main interfaces is ready, it could be released as is.

Not everything is done yet, there still are the plugins to translate, and the purpose was to offer a clean and tested translation.
I won't upload yet another version now that it's close to be finished. People would end up downloading the wrong file, and let me remind you my email is in those file I wouldn't want to spend time answering problems that are already solved...

But you can send me a mail through the forums, give me your email and I'll send you the FR files.

Subject: fr language updated
I have collected corrections for the fr translation via the french demo I set up. A few things have been polished and I can now provide the main french language file.

Please note I did not translate the plugins yet (not enough time !) but I'll try next week to make some progress.

[Fr] Merci pour la traduction, mais pourquoi ne s'installe t-il pas comme les autres pack de langue dans le repertoire lang ?  :-D

et comment s'installt t-il surtout ?  :blush:

kedare, je ne suis pas sûr de comprendre : tu voudrai que je crée un rar comprennant le chemin d'installation c'est ça ?
Si ce n'est que ça, ça peut se faire mais normalement le pack de langue sera intégré dans la distribution de UNB.

D'ailleurs, pendant que je suis là :
attention : je n'ai pas eu le temps de mettre à jour la trad pour la RC2

J'essaierai de bosser dessus mais là je suis occupé avec MODx et AroundMe...

davidm, only to let you know, RC3 is even more current. ;) (Could be that I need to do one change still before the final version but that'll be highlighted in the change log then.) And yes, I will include the translation in the full package when it's finished. This doesn't need to be for the 1.6 final release, I'll update that archive on demand. But the translations should also be available separately from the downloads page then, as now for 1.5.x.

If I understood kedare right, he wants to have the files in a "fr" directory. Well, shouldn't be that hard to create it... (For package creator and user.) And I'll handle those formals anyway before publishing files as "official" downloads. :)

ca marche pas :/
j'ai essayer de placer directement les fichiers dans bb_lib\lang\ ou bb_lib\lang\fr\ ca ne fonctionne pas :(
ce qui m'etone c'est que c'est pas comme les autres fichiers qui commences par les deux lettre prefix du pays

"ca marche pas" signifie quoi? La langue n'apparait pas dans la liste dans la page "settings"? Elle doit être dans la liste des langues dans la page "Appearance options" (pour chaque user ou pour l'entire board).

Ehm, mais "bb_lib"? Ce n'est pas UNB 1.5, est-il? La traduction ici seulement marche avec UNB 1.6. Il n'y a pas une langue francaise pour UNB 1.5.x.

oui j'ai Unclassified NewsBoard 1.5.3-b , c'est pour ca que ca ne fonctionne pas ?

Oui, comme j'ai ecris, cette traduction est incompatible avec UNB 1.5. Simply doesn't work. Totally different structure etc.
