Then I seem to have a problem :o
I can select UTF-8 after opening, but not with the opening itself.
My headers sometimes look like this:
- // Encoding : UTF-8 (without BOM) (auto-detect: °°°°°)
"Want walvissen kunnen immers ook niets, maar zijn toch"

It doesn't seem to work very well with this). And after some conversions with both Notepad++ ánd PSPad, I now have the file in Notepad++ with the headers with only the 'circels'
