Conversion methods? I wonder if we are talking about the same thing.
Let me be more specific.
I created a custom page that shows the custom page by clicking on the new tab at the top navigator, and of course it is a plug-in that can be activated or disabled in the control panel. I also created a page for the control panel hook that shows options for each user to be able to configure.

So I'm wondering if UNB2 will have a completely different custom page plug-in system, or basically the same. I guess now you are telling me that all the hooks will be different in UNB2.

OK. Another question:
How about the translation files? Will they all need to be completely redone?
I suppose they will.

OK, A more practical question:
How long until UNB2 is released? Will there be an import UNB 1.6.x to UNB2 function? Or is UNB2 not going to have a forum?
Thanks. And sorry for all the questions.  :-)

Will custom plug-ins that were developed for UNB 1.6 work for UNB2?

Yves,

I guess the problem is that the time format >0:00 will show only entries after 10:00. I have to set the time to >00:00 to show all entries.

However, I did just now notice that the default time is inappropriate because it is now 2009-03-28 15:45 but the default in the viewer is setting the time to >22:45.

Subject: new bug?
Sorry to bug you.

It is 3/28 4:30 am JST in my timezone. My server is 3/27 1:30 pm in its timezone.
I go to the log viewer to look at the log for March 28 but nothing displays.
I checked my server via ftp and the log file exists. The log is there. It is ok.
Just the viewer for the log is not behaving properly.

Another thing, I use the viewer to see the 3/27 log but only entries after 10:00 or so are displaying even though I set the Time field to >0:00.
I checked the 3/27 log via ftp and there exists entries earlier than what shows in the viewer.

Thank you for making this change.  :-)

I've just uploaded the new changes 20080305-dev and checked the log viewer.
I'm very happy to see the log entries in the timezone that I have set the board for, which is the timezone that I am living in.

Why not store the log files according to the board settings (Board configuration -> General Settings -> Date and Time) ?

Germany may use only 1 timezone but the U.S. has 6 timezones. We cannot set the server timezone on shared hosting.  Many people, like myself, use hosting that is on the other side of the planet. In my case, the time difference is 15 hours.

I found the following files were updated since the previous dev update.

common_out.lib.php
forumlist.html
common.css.php
version.def.php
cp.inc.php
users.inc.php

Have I missed any?... Oh, wait a second.

I remember looking at main.inc.php. It looks like I accidentally moved it instead of copying it to my "modified files" place, and so I didn't apply that one to my server.

Well, that fixes it! Sorry. Problem solved.

Subject: forum advanced options missing
I installed the new dev update on my test server.

I find the opposite of what the change log says about “forumlist.html”
This change makes the advanced options for the forum list missing.
Before this change, I had the option of showing hidden forums. Were there supposed to be more?
Now I have none.

Which other files besides forumlist.html affect this function?

Subject: Session ID in links
My forum is now showing the session id in the links as unb421sess=

I did have to re-setup all my settings after I lost my board.conf.php file this week, so I don't know if that is part of the problem or not.  Have any other UNB users noticed this problem since upgrading to the latest dev version? I don't see this problem here at this board.

Unlike the same problem I posted last year in March, this time the session IDs remain in the links/urls of my board for the entire time. If my description is unclear, you can just visit http://kanji4.us/ to see what I mean.

I ran the upgrade option of the install script and I got these warnings:

Warning: fopen(board.conf.tmp.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /public_html/unb_lib/common.lib.php on line 2005

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: Operation not permitted in
/public_html/unb_lib/common.lib.php on line 2022
Done.

Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file lock.conf because Permission denied in
/public_html/install.php on line 1039

What changes do I need to make to correct these problems?
It updated the board.conf.php file without a problem. I don't know why there is a problem with the tmp file.

Subject: board.conf.php file was made zero k
I logged into my UNB forum a couple of days ago. It was the first time accessing it a the Admin since I was away from my computer for a week.

I noticed the "there is an update to UNB" message. Then I tried to go to another page and I only got a message about "No server set for database connection."

I reported to the hosting service about the problem since I hadn't touched the code. Initially, I was told there was an issue with the shared server and it was being looked at.

But after 2 days, I hadn't heard anything and the problem still existed. So I asked for an update on the issue and they said there was no problem with the database server.

So, then I logged into the hosting server via ftp and found that the board.conf.php file has no data. The size is 0K.
The date of the file appears to be exactly the time I last accessed the board. My problem report is 6 minutes after the timestamp of that board.conf.php file.

I believe that the board update check may have wiped out my conf file.

Anyway, I have no backup of this board.conf.php file. If I download the latest devel. update, and run the install file, will it create the board.conf.php file? Do I need to delete the 0K file first?

Subject: Separate by space does not work
Morty,

The plug-in settings page says you can separate scripts by space, comma, or |. I tried using a space found that didn't work. It put both scripts in the same src tag.  So then I used the third option and that works fine.

OK, that works. I used the htaccess file to block the bot.
Thanks!

Subject: attack of the bot!
I can't get rid of it! I put my board on administrative lock for 20 minutes and after I unlocked it, it is still attacking those search pages.

What can I do?
