Subject: Jabber with different server and host
At present $jServer and $jServerHost have to be identical (apart from gmail accounts).  Can you invent a new rc, so that these two can be set to different values, please?

Alternatively, what is the current state concerning google talk?  Does it reliably work?  Then, I'd possibly switch to a gmail account...

No, using Jabber with TLS encryption is not supported right now. It may work, it may not. Jabber with PHP is generally a painful thing. And while the Jabber concept really is great, its implementation (XML...) is weird and chaotic, which may be the cause for the little PHP support.
