Subject: Screen width settings
What parameters do I change to optimise the board for a 1280 x 1024 screen resolution.

Isn't there a custom.css example file somewhere in the designs/modern directory? It contains several example design modifications, like for example a full-width design.

As I said, use the custom.css file, read its commentary and customise the file to your needs. You will need CSS and basic PHP knowledge to do this.
