Subject: Apache deficiency affects UNB
AFAICT ATM the apache unescapes the URI before rewriting.  This leads to interesting effects at a failed login (I have not checked other places yet):

  • a user ‘NAME/ID’ (default input field, just hit submit) leads to a page not found (404)
  • a user ‘NAME&ID’ leads to a user NAME and an additonal parameter ID
  • a user ‘NAME#ID’ leads to a user NAME and the URI is cut after the ‘#’

I have absolutely no idea how this can be fixed...

The two apache RewriteRule flags "B" and "NE" looked promising but don't work. Maybe the Apache RewriteLog could be helpful here. I guess it would be best to not use Apache URL rewriting to reformat the URL parameters...
