Subject: Problems upgrading
Hi

I have just taken over a very old forum which runs version 1.5.3, so I wanted to update it to the latest (1.6.4?)

I moved all the folders, typed in what was needed in the bord.config.php and went along and did the update (via install.php).
Everything seemed to work as is should (no error messages), but I am now unable to log in as admin to unlock the forum (and i cannot see any boards!).

What can be wrong?

What i changed: bb_lib --> unb_lib, and moved the required folders here before upload of the new board-files
Used a new bord.conf.php with my database information and smtp-information added
Ran the install.php

Hope someone can give me a clue of what could be wrong.

Jacob

Did you upgrade the .htaccess files?

What are the URLs in your browser when you try to log in? (The path part is okay, don't need the domain if you don't want to publish it.)

You should upgrade to devel 20090606, as it includes the latest security fixes. 1.6.4 is not the most current version.

Yes, I upgraded the .htaccess as well

The url was http://aarhushavkajakklub.dk/php/forum/forum when I tried to log in (it is not accesible now, as i reverted the files and database back it to the previous version as it is a relatively active forum)

I will try with the devel 20090606 (but unfortunately I do not have time until tomorrow night).

Tried with the latest devel. And now (almost) everything went smooth. The forum now works.

My only problem now is the danish characters - they are messed up. Would a direct edit of the database be the easiest way around this?

Solved by a bunch of MySQL UPDATE's

Thanks
