Hi,

just finished installing un[classified] newsboard for a new forum for indie and casual gamer and game developers:

forum.samanon.com

I have tried a number of forums, but unclassified really did stand out. One thing, what really would be helpful, is a second template with inverted colors (white text on dark background), then everybody would have a good starting point.

Hi Heiko.

I run UNB on a multi-topic forum, and use a simple, different CSS file to change the colours in the gaming subforums. While the rest of the forum uses the standard template, the game sections look like this.

There are instructions in this thread for doing it on a per-forum basis, but since I think your aim is more or less a global change, here's what I think you'll want to investigate:

I notice that your changes don't have any transparencies... UNB uses a ton of transparent PNGs for colours, overlayed on the background stripes. Edit those, maintaining a similar transparency, in different colours. Then, change your font colours to suit.

Of course I couldn't design my way out of a one-sided box, so perhaps I should be ignored. =)
