Subject: Append thread title to URL?

A lot of blog/forum/CMS systems append the current thread title to the URL, and I wonder how hard it'd be to add this to UNB? I would imagine it'd be a throwaway parameter at the end of the URL, like so:

http://somesite.com/forum/thread/604/This-is-the-thread-title

http://somesite.com/forum.php?viewthread=604&title=This-is-the-thread-title

This would make links to the site much more user-friendly, wouldn't it?

Is it a fix-every-damned-thing kind of mod, or can it be done simply, perhaps with js? Honestly I have no idea, but it'd be awesome if it was easy. </useless>

Links like that aren't "user-friendly" anyway.

But just put "named_urls = 1" (or update a similar line) in your board.conf.php file and see if it works for you.

Holy crap! Yves, that's awesome. =D

I'm not sure what you mean when you say these URLs aren't user friendly. As an example, I hate YouTube for many reasons, but one big one is that the links don't mean anything. Someone drops a YouTube link on IRC and I have no idea what will be there if I click on it. Something interesting? Something stupid? These named URLs are, IMO, much more friendly to users and - I think - better for search engines as well.
