Subject: UNB 1.6 RC 4 released
Not so long ago, I said that RC 3 is the supposedly last RC of the UNB 1.6 series. But at last when I made some changes to the install script to make it compatible with the now recommended MySQL 5, I knew this needs to be tested again before the great and final version 1.6 comes out. So here it is, the fourth - and again supposedly last - release candidate of the Unclassified NewsBoard. It has no outstanding issues that I would know of and thus could almost be used in a productive environment already... (As I do here since sometime before RC 1!) But to be sure, I'd like all of you to try it out one more time. As usual: Upgrading is easy. Just replace all the files that have changed and then run the upgrade script if it wants to be run (see the green warning on every page).
The translation files shouldn't change anymore now so when you update your translations to RC 4, they're likely to run with the final without modifications. Please check the change log anyway in case I find a change necessary.
If nothing really important happens within one week, I'm going to finish the RC time and release 1.6 final.
Concerning the recently reported bug that Opera 8.5 cannot open the Fast Reply: This must be an Opera bug as far as I can tell. Use the current Opera 9 preview, there it works.
