Ok, here we go!
After a long time of hard work on the calendar plugin. Here is the new Version.
Now we have V. 2.0.

I rewrite most of my code to make the plugin independent (only the new hooks must be patched in / until Yves hasn't implemented in his source).
Everything new could be seen on the first post of this thread.

For all of these people using the "old" version of the callender I recommend strongly to do a complete new installation of the calender.
Because a lot have changed and the diff files are only for a "plain" 1.6.1 / dev.20060402. Also the table in the database have changed, so for the new plugin you must install the table throu the config.

I hope you enjoy the pretty new version.

HI,

thank you for the calendar plugin.
I installed the new version of your calendar.

If I understand the description correctly the announcement is created on the day, when the event happened?
Not every member in my board visited it every day.
So it maybe usefull if I was able to set a paramater in the plug in configuration, so it creates the announcements one or two days before.

It's already implemented.
You still have to check "Calendar announcement" than the calendar will alert you 3 days before.

Yes this is the one way.
But Mardok doesn't use the "calendar announcement section" he uses the function where the calendar creates real announcements. It is a good idea to be able to configure the time when the announcements should be created.
Maybe I find these weekend some time to implement this.

Hi,

in the meantime I also use the "calendar announcement section" :-)
(thank you for the hint)

It seems, that every member can see all events, is this correct.
(if it is possible, it is better when everbody can only see the same entries like in the calendar)

There are two small bugs:
The creator of the automatic announcements was one user in the board who has nothing to do with this :-)
The "view replies-link" in the calendar announcement doesn't work on my forum

First, sorry for not writing in english, but this is a little to much to translate at the moment ;)
All in all it's about the possibility of creating calendar-events, that last longer than just one day, e.g. festivals!

Mir ist noch eine Kleinigkeit aufgefalln, die ich als Feature bei deinem PlugIn sehr begrüßen würde :)
Was ist zum, Beispiel, wenn ein Event sich über mehrere Tage erstreckt?
Aktuelle Beispiele dafür, wäre in unserem Board z.B. die Nature One, oder die Pfingstkirmes.
Ich fände eine Funktion klassen, über die man etwas derartiges festlegen könnte.
Beispielsweise ein DragDown-Menu, in dem man von 1 bis 7 Tage wählen kann oder ein feld in dem mann die Anzahl der Tage selbst festlegt. Als Standart wäre 1 Tag sinnvoll.

Hälst du so etwas für sinvoll und v.a. machbar?
Würde gern mal deine Meinung dazu hören :)

die nötigen hooks sind in der 1.6.3 enthalten, ABER die namen sind nicht bei allen hooks identisch, man muss also die hook namen anpassen, dann geht das prima

Was genau hast du angepasst? Ich habs versucht, aber es lassen sich keine Beiträge für den Kalender erstellen (ja, ich habe eine Forums-Id angegeben) und nur die Geburtstage werden angezeigt.

Ich bin neu hier und kenn mich noch nicht so recht aus :(
Ich habe die Dateien in meinen Ordner kopiert, doch was meint man mit patch???
Komme da nicht so richtig weiter :(

The 1st october is not a monday. (it is a sunday)

ich habe da einen kleinen Bug in meinem Kalender entdeckt.
Da wird behauptet, daß der erste Oktober ein Montag ist und daß obwohl der letzte Septembertag ein Samstag war.

Hi tkoneo,

Du hast sicher viel zu tun und nur wenig Zeit.
Aber wenn Du Zeit hast, würdest Du sicher einigen eine riesige Freude machen, wenn du hier eine Version mit angepaßten Hooks hinterlegen könntest.
Dann kommen auch andere in den Genuß Deines netten Kalender Plugins.
