In den Dateien werden Benutzer nicht mit "Du", sondern mit "Sie" angesprochen.
Die Dateien:

3 Vim-Makros um Kommentierungen in PHP-Dateien zu übersetzen mit Google

Einige Wochen dauerte es, bis ich endlich diese drei Makros für den Editor Vim bzw. gVom 7.1 fertiggestellt hatte, um Kommentierungen in PHP-Dateien leichter übersetzen zu können. Den Editor Vim bzw. gVim gibt es übrigens auch als deutsche Version, nämlich hier:

Mit dem ersten Makro http://home.tiscali.de/gottwirdsein/makro/php-makro1 (Rechtsmausklick und >Ziel speichern unter...) werden jeweils alle Kommentierungen ans Ende der Datei verschoben mit Nummerierung. Bspw. mit Google kann man diese übersetzen und unten die englischsprachigen Kommentare durch die übersetzten ersetzen. Das zweite Makro http://home.tiscali.de/gottwirdsein/makro/php-makro2-1spra… oder wahlweise http://home.tiscali.de/gottwirdsein/makro/php-makro2-2spra… ordnet diese Kommentierungen wieder automatisch in die Datei ein.

Besser finde ich es aber, wenn in der Datei sowohl die englischsprachigen, als auch die übersetzten Kommentierungen vorhanden sind. Um das zu erreichen benutzt man letztgenanntes Makro, das die übersetzten Auskommentierungen wieder in die Datei zurückverschiebt.

Diese 3 Makros arbeiten völlig präzise, sodass auch jede Leerzeile, jeder Zeilenumbruch, jede Leerstelle und jeder Tabstob exakt so erhalten bleibt, wie ursprünglich im Code eingefügt. Insbesondere das letzte Makro (2-sprachig) finde ich sehr praktisch, weil nämlich oftmals die automatische Übersetzung nicht besonders gut ist, und man jeweils auch die Originalsprache zur Verfügung hat.

Die übersetzten Kommentare werden automatisch so eingefügt, dass diese formatgetreu und somit übersichtlich jeweils genau unter den originalsprachigen (englischen) Kommentare eingefügt werden. Es werden jeweils nur Wörter von auskommentiertem Text, die ausschließlich aus Buchstaben bestehen, jeweils einzeln ans Ende der Datei verschoben.

In den letzen Monaten habe ich mich ziemlich gut mit dem Editor Vim bzw. gVim 7.1 eingearbeitet und in meinem alten Forum (neues phpBB3-Forum geplant) habe ich zu diesem Editor diese beiden Beiträge geschrieben: Klick!

Das Makro mit Vim öffnen, mit gg an den Anfang des Makros gehen und "ay$ tippen. Dieses Makro ist nun im Register a gespeichert. Dann die PHP-Datei mit Vim öffnen und das Makro a ausführen mit @a. Als Registernamen nur jeweils einen einzelnen Kleinbuchstaben wählen! Mit a oder i kommt man in den Bearbeitungsmodus und mit Esc ist man im Befehlsmodus. Das Makro ins Register speichern und ausführen geschieht im Befehlsmodus. Zu Editoren siehe auch diesen Beitrag von mir: Klick!

Im Vergleich zu meinen anderen 4 Makros, um Kommentare in CSS-Dateien zu übersetzen (klick), sind diese drei Makros noch besser gelungen, weil ich inzwischen mehr Erfahrungen habe. Nur läuft die Abarbeitung erheblich langsamer ab, was ich nicht vermeiden konnte.

Bei der Konzipierung habe ich mich an der Information von dieser Webseite orientiert: Klick! Leider wusste ich nicht, ob die dort angeführten Beispiele bereits eine Formatierung beinhalten, um Kommentare entsprechend übersichtlich zu gestalten.

Bei einzeiligen Kommentaren, die jeweils am Zeilenanfang mit // beginnen, ist es einfach. Bei auskommentierten Absätzen ist es aber komplizierter. Die Makros arbeiten bei diesen so, dass nur solche Texte als Kommentare nach unten verschoben werden, die jeweils mit /* beginnen und mit */ enden, wenn zwischen so einer Zeichenfolge und dem Zeilenanfang jeweils allenfalls nur Leerstellen und/oder Tabulatoreinrückungen sind. Bspw. so:

/* Wort 1 Wort 2 */
Leider weiß ich nicht, ob ich das so richtig gemacht habe. Wird also die erste Zeile von PHP erkannt als Kommentierung, obwohl sich das Wort 1 in derselben Zeile wie /* befindet? Und falls sich */ in derselben Zeile hinter Wort 2 befinden würde, wäre das auch eine exakte Kommentierung? Gegebenenfalls würde ich diese drei Makros entsprechend ändern.

Sollen also die Kommentierungen nur durch die Übersetzten ersetzt werden, so benutzt man die ersten beiden Makros. Die anderen beiden benutzt man, wenn jeweils zusätzlich neben oder unter die englischsprachigen Kommentierungen die übersetzten angefügt werden sollen.

Diese 4 Makros arbeiten völlig präzise, sodass auch jede Leerzeile, jeder Zeilenumbruch, jede Leerstelle und jeder Tabstob exakt so erhalten bleibt, wie ursprünglich in den Code eingefügt. Insbesondere die beiden letzten Makros (2-sprachig) finde ich sehr praktisch, weil nämlich oftmals die automatische Übersetzung nicht besonders gut ist und man jeweils auch die Originalsprache zur Verfügung hat.

Leerstellen und Tabstobs unmittelbar am Anfang und Ende der Kommentierungen innerhalb von /* und */ werden nicht nach unten verschoben, sondern verbleiben im Code, sodass bspw. die Google-Übersetzung diesbezüglich keine Probleme machen kann, falls Leerstellen am Zeilenanfang oder -ende automatisch entfernt werden sollten.

Sollten in einer Zeile mehrere separate Kommentierungen sein, werden die übersetzten Kommentierungen automatisch jeweils unmittelbar daneben angefügt. Ich meine auch, dass man bestimmt diese Makros auch für PHP-Dateien umrüsten könnte; aber im Moment bin ich erst mal froh, dass ich das "geschafft" habe.

Falls gewünscht würde ich das in nächster Zeit auch noch erledigen und eine ausführliche Beschreibung des Makro-Codes könnte auf Wunsch auch noch von mir folgen. Hi everybody,

First I would like to congratulate Yves Goergen for this excellent forum. I really like it. In fact, I liked it so much that I would like to colaborate translating it to Brazilian Portuguese...

But I'm having a problem here. The translation instructions says that: "all translations are located in the unb_lib/lang/ directory, each in its own subdirectory, named after the ISO 639 2-letter language code". But there isn't a "2-letter language code" for this translation, as I'm doing a Brazilian Portuguese translation. If I use the 2-letter code, it will conflict with the European Portuguese (as both of them are PT). What can I do?

Hello

As I promise some days... weeks... hmmm.... months ago... I try to make a translation of UNB. It's not full version, but I think I never make it myself. Why? I think files "controlpanel_admin.php" and "register.php" shouldn't be translated for some reasons by me.

First - IMO it's better for board-administrator to see Control Panel with Yves' original English translation. Polish is very strange language and after translation it may be problems with precise troubles with script and/or board-configuration on this forum. Administrator must know English!

Second - IMO translation of file "register.php" should be made by every administrator himself. There are different terms for different boards, there is no possibility to meet expectations of all administrators in one translation. My sugestion - do it yourself if you want to have good and comfortable user-registration.

For these reasons I added original English translations "controlpanel_admin.php" and "register.php" to attached file "pl.rar".

I know, there are similiar projects of Polish translations but it is insignificant for me. I promise to make my own translation long, long ago and here it is. It's not perfect but works good and gives easy start with UNB-board

PS. I don't think I'll make translation for 1.5.3, because I use newest version of script always and I haven't old translation files. Sorry Yves.

I use ISO-8859-1 on my board so the language-files are NOT encoded UTF-8. Unofortunaly will not be able to update the translation to v.1.6 at the moment.

But I have a problem, it seems as I cant get my translation working...
I took the file from unb_lib/lang/ and translated part of it, but when I try to get it to work the board goes blank...
am I doing this the wrong way or??

Timezones in English?

UNB 1.6 includes a list of timezone names that will be displayed on the settings pages to help the user select the correct local timezone. However there is one big problem with this: I could assign these names based on my Windows timezone selection and other sources that are only available in German to me. Now that part of the translation files is still untranslated from German. Does anybody have an idea where you can find that information? I know about worldtimezone.com but I couldn't find any use in it for this particular problem. So I cannot translate this part into English myself. Would be great if someone, preferably with an English Windows version, could help me out with it. Thanks in advance.

Russian translation for UNB 1.5.3 started

Hi, I'm translating UNB to Russian and almost finished it (base part / except control panel and help files)

I found some troubles with numbers of Posts, Treads etc, and some specific words that change its forms, but now it 99%-finished.

I'll write here when it will be ready to share after small testing.

But there's some small bug in 1.5.3. that make impossible for me to use Cyrillic letters in Forum title here in Control Panel
/forum.php?req=cp&id=1&item=9
When I type in something like "??????? ???????? ??????"
it becomes "????? ???? ?????" (q-signs) after posting
the encoding of the forum and of the page is UTF-8
and cyrillic letters work perfect everywhere I tested on forum (even in username) except this one thing.

I'd like to ask is it known bug? And maybe there's some patch for it?

Serbian translation for UNB 1.5.3 available

Hi,
on Monday I received the Serbian translation for the Unclassified NewsBoard version 1.5.3. It doesn't have both the help pages translated but Dušan Pani?, the translator, told me he wants to do that still. The rest should be ok though. After a quick functional test, I uploaded the archive today on the resources download page.
The author also said me he wants to update the translation for the next version that's getting nearer every day.
I'm happy about one more translation for this project and like to thank you, Dušan, for your work on this.
